“Making the mind serviceable” is a primary teaching of Dr. B. Alan Wallace. Having devoted 14 years to training as a Tibetan Buddhist monk & been ordained by H. H. the Dalai Lama, Dr. Wallace went on to earn an undergraduate degree in physics & philosophy of science at Amherst College & a doctorate in religious studies at Stanford. He has been a translator for H.H. the Dalai Lama & involved w/the Dalai Lam’s efforts with Western Scientists on how Buddhism can fill in the gaps the Western scientific tradition has on the nature of the human mind. Thus, Dr. Wallace has extensive understanding of how our Western sciences & tradition have guided us away from feeling comfortable within our minds, as he gracefully guides us on how to work with ourselves, both in meditation practice & in awareness of how each of our minds’ thoughts leads to what becomes our lives. This is a rare opportunity to gain from his unique perspective, helping us make our minds our allies & create our best lives ever!
